Privacy notice
Tiny Belgrade is a map you look at. It has no accounts, no forms and no newsletter, so it collects very little. This page explains what it does collect.
Who is responsible
Tiny Belgrade is published by Massivate, the trading name of BUSE TURGAY SONMEZ PR DIZAJN I GRAFIČKE USLUGE MASSIVATE CREATIVE BEOGRAD (STARI GRAD), a sole proprietorship registered in Serbia at Dositejeva 9, 11158 Belgrade, Serbia (company number 68443245, tax number 115537859). Massivate decides what happens to the information described here and is responsible for it. You can reach us at hello@massivate.com.
The live visitor counter
While the map is open, your browser tab tells our server every few seconds which part of the map you are looking at, together with a random code it made up for that tab. We use this to show how many people are exploring right now and to draw their gulls on the map. When many people are online, one gull stands for a group of people in the same area, never for a named person.
This is kept only in the server's memory. It is forgotten 15 seconds after you close or hide the tab, and it is never written to disk. It contains no name, no cookie and no IP address, and the random code is not shared with other visitors. We do this because showing a live map is part of the site; that is our legitimate interest.
Cookies and analytics
On your first visit we ask whether you allow analytics. Nothing optional loads until you choose, and saying no changes nothing about how the map works.
- Analytics: Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, counts visits and shows where visitors come from and which devices they use. It sets cookies on your device and sends Google your IP address, device and browser details and the pages you view. Google processes this as an independent company and may transfer it to the United States. We keep this data for up to 14 months. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of the map.
- Necessary: the tb-consent cookie remembers your choice for six months. It is not used to track you.
Server logs
The site runs on a server we manage, hosted by OVHcloud. Like every web server, it keeps standard logs (IP address, time, the file requested and your browser) for a short time to keep the site running and secure. That is our legitimate interest.
The fonts, the map viewer and the map tiles all come from our own server, so loading the map does not contact any other company unless you allow analytics. Links to X and belgradelife.com take you to sites with their own privacy policies.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it or stop using it. Write to hello@massivate.com and we will answer within 30 days. In practice the live counter holds nothing that identifies you, and it is gone within seconds.
If you think we have handled your information badly, you can complain to the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection in Serbia, or to the data protection authority where you live.
Changes
If what the site collects changes, we update this page and the date below.
